Armstrong Strategy Group (ASG) is pleased to announce the appointment of creative design strategist Natalie Gilson to its growing team of communications experts. Natalie, who specializes in design, illustration and branding, and has more than a decade of experience in the art world, joins the group as its Creative Director.
"Strategic creative is about more than simply ‘decorating’: I am excited to add my expertise and to collaborate with colleagues with such diverse talents in broad areas of strategic communications, fundraising, media and public relations,” Gilson said. “It’s a great fit for the way I approach creative and design.”
Gilson joins the team as an experienced graphic design, branding and illustration specialist. She brings innovative approaches to visual presentations with the goal of solving strategic problems creatively and connecting effectively with audiences.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in History in Art and Anthropology from the University of Victoria, an early career in archaeology, and a Diploma in Graphic Design, Gilson has a varied and educated approach to her creative work. Both anthropology and graphic design have roots in the study and understanding of people and how they think, act and make decisions, and Natalie enjoys bridging the gap between these two disciplines through her everyday work.
She’s also an active volunteer, donating her design skills and assisting environmentally-related non-profits.
“Natalie is a highly strategic designer, with a strong reason for everything she does,” said John Armstrong, President of Armstrong Strategy Group. “Her visual sensibility and understanding perfectly complement and enhance ASG’s strategies and products. We’re lucky to have her.”
