St. Catharines (September 10, 2018) – Armstrong Strategy Group is adding a senior municipal law expert and a government relations professional to its team of public affairs and strategic communications experts.
Dean Iorfida, a long-time municipal clerk and civil law expert with nearly 30 years of experience, joins the ASG team as a senior associate. And Phil Bailey, working between Washington, D.C. and Canada and with over a decade of experience on Parliament Hill and in public affairs, joins ASG as a consultant.
For 15 years, Iorfida served as City Clerk and Director of Council Services for the City of Niagara Falls. Prior, he served as Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Niagara Falls, where he developed a broad slate of skills in governance, political diplomacy, consensus-building, issue mediation and public policy.
Iorfida holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta and an honours BA in Political Science from Wilfrid LaurierUniversity.

Bailey served as political staff to two Members of Parliament and as the Parliamentary Affairs and Issues Management Advisor to Canada's Science and Technology Minister. He also played a key role as the Manager of Caucus Services in both the Conservative Resource Group and Opposition Leader's Office - helping provide strategic communication services to the Conservative Caucus in Ottawa.
Phil has a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario with a focus on communications and has honed his skills with a Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management.
