Updated: Oct 19, 2022

John Armstrong, ASG President, is pleased to announce today that Suzanne Foy is joining the firm as Senior Associate, Philanthropy. Suzanne's highly-tuned fundraising writing skills perfectlycomplementour growing philanthropic team.

Suzanne brings a decades’ plus experience in fundraising to augment ASG’s philanthropic services with specialties in writing and donor stewardship.

Playing an active role in hospital fundraising through the monumental transformation of Niagara’s hospital services in recent years, Suzanne has acquired a broad-based knowledge of development operations. Coming in at the early stages of a rapidly evolving foundation, she has been involved in a broad spectrum of fundraising from major and leadership gift fundraising, to annual giving, stewardship, communications and events.

Her natural donor-centric instincts became a valuable asset as she took the lead in developing and implementing comprehensive donor stewardship practices. That same donor-centricity is also a hallmark of her writing style that brings the human element to the forefront, connecting would-be donors to the causes that most inspire them and affect change they can feel proud of.

Suzanne has written numerous cases for support, proposals, funding appeals, donor acknowledgement templates, customized letters, media releases, speaker’s remarks, donor stories and other newsletter content for publication. She is also highly regarded for her mastery of sensitive donor communications. Always attuned to the distinct perspective of her audience, Suzanne has honed her ability to speak to stakeholders in a way that resonates and inspires.

“I’m thrilled to have Suzanne join our ASG team to help the charitable sector at a time when charities need to work even harder to not only deliver the critical services they deliver, but to raise the funds they need.” says John Armstrong. “Now more than ever, charities and service groups need our support and Suzanne has already brought her brilliance to the table to support our existing clients who are seeing the effects of this pandemic. It’s important for charities to stay active through this unprecedented time and be prepared for when the pandemic subsides.”

“Philanthropy and helping others comes naturally to me and I look forward to bringing my expertise and ideas to this already remarkable group of professionals at ASG,” Suzanne says. “They have a wonderful roster of clients that I am excited to be working with and look forward to helping them make a difference for so many people in Niagara.”
